One of our favorite places to go. The prime rib is the best.. That is what the men usually order. I love the whitefish. It is so tasty. They make their own salad dressing. One of their specials is turkey and it is always good too. The wait staff are a good.

The food was good, if they had what we wanted. We arrived at 730 with a party of 7. It was busy and we waited 45 minutes for a table. That was no problem. We ordered drinks and they were out of Spotted Cow and Ultra, which was surprising and disappointing. When we got to our tables we ordered the fish fry special. They were already out of perch. Ordered walleye with baked potato. The waiter came back to let us know they only had 3 baked potatoes left. A couple of us ordered fries. He then came back to let us know those baked potatoes were spoken for. They offered free desserts and drinks. That was nice except the waiter informed us they were down to 2 desserts. Not 2 choices, but just enough for 2 people. Also we only ordered 3 drinks at the table. Overall the food was good, the waiter tried, but I would likely not go back. The other supper clubs, bars and restaurants choices in Door County are just better.

Classic Wisconsin supper club with awesome food and drinks. I recommend the sirloin and the perch fish fry, very good stuff.

This is it, folks! This is the type of place I grew up taking my grandma to for her bday. It goes like this: 1. All Supper Clubs smell the same. All of them. 2. Order a rum and coke at the bar. 3. After enjoying the drink, ask for a table. 4. Receive a bread basket, get your iceberg salad w/ Thousand Island 5. Enjoy some fried shrimp, prime rib, or my fave, BROASTED CHICKEN (with your choice of potato). Greenwood is the place to be. Come here and come often!

It's a true Sconnie super club! Wife and I stopped in and enjoyed a scotch on the rocks and took a big salad back to the cabin. It was a great salad of mixed greens, shredded cabbage & carrots, tomato wedges, and came with a delicious house-made bleu cheese dressing. We'll be back to try the ribs!

Stumbled upon this supper club as we were trying to escape the hordes on the bay side. Although it has been here forever, we had never heard of it before. This is the quintessential Wisconsin supper club right down to the obligatory daily specials. So we obliged and had the Saturday special of prime rib. Not the most flavorful but it was huge. The old fashioneds and brandy Manhattans (when in Rome!) were great! I think we will have to go back and try another supper club staple!

Haven't been here in years, but I doubt it has changed in any significant way. Choice of potato, salad or soup. They don't look at you funny when you request "French Roquefort" as your salad dressing. Specials: (since 1970's) Friday: Fried Perch (I'm told Michigan is fished out and now they come from lake Eerie) Saturday: Prime Rib Other fine menu items include the Ribeye, French Fried shimp(with cocktail sauce), and Chef's salad. Funny story. They bring out the salad dressing for the chef salad in a soup cup (aforementioned french roquefort) My dad took a taste and complained to the waitress that my soup was cold. LOL Sir, that's salad dressing.

My husband and I are year round Door County locals and when I suggested to my husband that I was in the mood for a good steak, he suggested we visit the Greenwood Supper Club. While it's been several years since we visited this establishment, I agreed, remembering that the Greenwood used to have the BEST Ribeye steaks in the County.... Not any more..... I ordered the 14 oz Ribeye steak...medium rare. It arrived medium, at best, and was flavorless and tough! (Why did you discontinue the au jus in the little stainless cups?!) So tough in fact, that I refused to eat it!...I've had sirloin more tender and flavorful! Our server tried to pass it off as a "new cook on the line" but being a food service employee myself at another restaurant, I recognize a poor cut of meat! The temperature had nothing to do with it. This wouldn't have happened if Rick were still at the helm... On the plus side....our salads were flavorful and crisp....the bread basket was warm and inviting. My husband's pork chops were delightfully moist and flavorful, although the American Fries he ordered with his meal were served lukewarm at best... Our server, Luis was attentive and handled things well, despite our dissatisfaction. As a server I know that employees have little control over quality...he tried to make the best of the situation. Bottom line....we'll give the Greenwood one more chance....perhaps this was simply an "off" experience but I see a decline in the quality of food.....So sad considering this used to be one of Door County's premier supper club food choices!

Old school supper club that serves up the best fried perch in Wisconsin. They also have a really cool bar and dining room. Come for the perch and the strong drinks and the dark wood walls. Gets crowded on the weekends!

AWESOME! We go here each time we are in Door co sometimes twice a week. Food is incredible. Homemade style cheese curds not those frozen kind. Prime rib is exquisite! Make a reservation if you plan on going at prime time dinner but definitely a recommend!

Highly disappointing meal for a WI Supper Club Fan. Ordered a filet mignon, and got some other meat cut round to look like a filet mignon. My fiancée ordered a perch, and it was full of bones and lacking flavor. The only good thing was the brandy old fashioned. The champagne I ordered was also old, dark, not bubbly, probably left at their fridge for who knows how long. We went there because the Yelp reviews were so good, and the parking lot was always full. First time I get a wrong lead from Yelp. After the bad experience we went to a bar where a local told us he always get those comments about that place. He said they live out of tourists that eat there once and never go back. That's exactly what happened to us.

Classic Wisconsin supper club. Our waitress was a delight, a young lady who within 30 seconds had my wife and I feeling like we had a new best friend. We were there somewhat late on a Sunday night, so not much of a crowd. The food was very good (wife had salmon, I had steak), but not great. But if you find yourself in Door County and you're looking for a classic supper club experience, you could do worse. Three stars is not quite good enough, but four is too good. 3 1/2 stars.

Our foursome arrived at 5:30 on a Saturday evening. We were seated immediately. Our waiter was gracious and intent. Dinner was spaced well except one of our party ordered the soup instead of salad. She had finished her soup before our salads arrived. The waiter apologized and said they were backed up in kitchen. Two of our group also ordered baked potatoes with their entree. The waiter substituted garlic mashed potatoes and again explained that there was a problem in the kitchen and we would have to wait for 20 minutes if we still wanted baked potatoes. We plan on going again, and since they do not accept reservations, we may try arriving a little later and wait in their spacious bar to avoid being the first table service of the evening.

This place is the real deal. Take a picture and put it in the dictionary next to "Supper Club." If you're going to be in Door County, put the Greenwood on your agenda. The food is good (two of us had the prime rib, one had the whitefish, and one had a burger), the service is friendly, but what you're really coming here for is the atmosphere. Walking into the Greenwood is like stepping back in time. And they're not faking it. They haven't changed anything in 50 years because they haven't needed to. Allow extra time for a cocktail at the bar before dinner. You won't be disappointed.

Well we were hoping for a fantastic perch fry but went away disappointed. First, they were pretty busy but we were able to get seated right away. The service was attentive and the Stella's were cold. The bread was warm, everything was starting out great. The food came quick and it showed. The perch and the fries needed to be left in the frier for another minute or two. Both were soggy and lacking flavor. Not exactly what we expected. Needless to say we will probably try another place the next time we are up for a Friday night fish fry.

Greenwood was featured on a PBS special about Wisconsin's supper clubs. So of course I couldn't wait to try it. The decor is what you should expect from a supper club. If you need the latest decor to compliment your meal this is not the place. I started with a salad with French dressing. The dressing was overly sweet. My dining companion got the Ranch dressing which was very delicious. The salad itself is nothing special but the homemade croutons do liven it up a bit. We ordered mozzarella sticks which the server forgot about until we were about done with the meal. According to the menu, they were supposed to come with ranch, bbq and marinara sauce. I think our sticks were sitting out for a while and only came drenched in marinara. I definitely don't recommend them. I ordered the honey fried chicken as my entree. It was fantastic. The breading was very crispy but the chicken was not dried out. My companion ordered the breaded jumbo shrimp. They were perfect and probably some of the best shrimp I ever had. The reason that Greenwood is not 4 star or even 5 star was the poor service. Drinks weren't refilled for quite a while and when they were it was with the wrong beverage. And as I mentioned our appetizer came after the meal. I would definitely go back though because the food was so good.

Quintessential Wisconsin supper club with history to beat. This place has been around for ages. My friend said she'd been coming here since she was a wee one and couldn't visit Door County without a visit to Greenwood. Smoking is still prevalent in the bar area, but luckily the dining room itself is smoke free (no linger of smoke either which is good for us non-smokers). Our waitress, from Bulgaria, spoke perfect English and could not have been friendlier. If the Wisconsin Munchies are on the menu they are a must order. Cheese curds, fried broccoli, mushrooms, cauliflower and onion are all crispy and an extreme guilty pleasure. For salads there is a cherry vinaigrette dressing so of course you must order that because its Door County and cherries are everywhere. My "light" portion of fried perch was slightly sweet and still a much bigger portion than I'd anticipated. Make sure to save room for dessert. The cherry pie I ordered at Greenwood (complete with a tremendous scoop of vanilla ice cream) was the best I had my whole visit!

This is truly a piece of history and worth going both for a "50s experience" and the food. The dining room is unpretentious and a tad on the noisy side, but not overly so. The decor reminds me of grandma's house. The staff is friendly and attentive to your needs. As a foodie, after reading the reviews on Yelp, we had to give it a try and I'm glad we did. Greenwood does the basics very well - I had the broiled whitefish and it was a very generous filet perfectly done. Others had the prime rib which was felt to be the best ever and the salmon, which was perfectly done. However we ordered pasta for my grandson which was terrible - sauce straight out of a jar. Stick to basic American dishes and you won't be disappointed. Overall definitely worth going.

I always wanted to go to a Super Club and it was exactly what I was hoping for. The atmosphere was very old school/up north and the drinks were tasty, strong and the bartenders knew a variety of ways to make one drink. The food was good I had the Perch dinner and after dinner we went and hung out in the bar area and didnt leave without playing the 80's racing arcade game they had in the entrance. I loved the old photos of the place back in the day.

The Greenwood Supper Club was on of the places the locals had mostly to themselves for a long time. The Greenwood Supper Club as the name suggests is an old time Wisconsin Supper Club. They have a huge bar that is great place to sit and have a few drinks before dinner. Their menu is nothing fancy. Just the basic supper club fair with a few extras. You will have your steaks and seafood, the standard for supper clubs. There steaks are very good. The Greenwood Supper Club is out in the country and not on one of the main highways, but worth the drive to find it.

This Supper Club has the BEST prime rib I've ever tasted. We've been going to Door County for 20+ yrs now and we have to go at least once a year for the steak. It has never disappointed. They serve it every night of the week and is a special on Sat.

My wife and I both ordered the breaded fried Lake Perch, lighter portion version. We received 5 small pieces about 3 inches long. Really not much on the dish for $21.95. Wondered if it was going to be enough but after tasting only ate two pieces and my wife returned her dish. It was rubbery and dried out. They did take hers off the bill but ended up charging us for the salad, the blue cheese dressing on her salad, and mash potatoes that came with the dinner. That's not a big issue but did think charging for the salad dressing was amazing (was not mentioned by waiter when ordering). Menu was old because several items/prices marked out. Time to print new menus.

I came here on a recommendation of a friend who had been coming to Greenwood for years with her family. I'll give a few stray observations in this review. We visited the supper club a little before the peak of the season (in early June). I was really surprised that there were only a few others tables of customers. I was worried there would be a wait around 7pm on a Saturday, but the place wasn't very busy at all. I debated between the perch and a filet. Since I had a fish fry the night before, I decided to go with meat. I wanted a smaller filet, but saw the 8 oz filet was scratched off the menu. I asked the server about it and he said I could order it anyways. My friend told me it was one of the best filets she had ever had. She was 100% correct. My piece of meat was cooked to perfection and just melted in my mouth. Simply delicious. My husband had the prime rib, which was really good too. We tried each other's dishes, and actually couldn't agree on who's meal was better (we determined it was a tie). I ordered fries and they were just OK. My husband had the mashed potatoes and they were really good. The dining room had a very 1970s lodge-y feel. Very old school. Check out the curtains. I hadn't been to a supper club before, but my friend told me to expect it. I kind of liked it. The service was outstanding. Granted, the restaurant wasn't very full, but our waiter was constantly checking on us and was there is we ever needed anything. I appreciated it. We don't go to Door County often, but if we did, we'd need to visit this place again.

I finally made it! This place has been on my to do list for ten years! I love supper clubs and really wanted to try. After reading reviews i realized this was a solid peak we don't have dinner reservations on a Saturday option. I wasn't disappointed. The atmosphere is what you expect from a supper club. Slightly dated with a bar up front. The hostess stand is behind the bar on the right. We were seated right away. The old fashioneds were the tops. No mixes here! The waters were constantly refilled. The service here was truly the best! My white fish entree was perfectly flaky. The garlic mashed potatoes were awesome. The bread was warm. The salad was the perfect size. So why 3 stars do you ask? I would give this experience a solid 4... but: they deep fry their scallops. I love scallops. I love fish fry. The two should not be combined! So I skipped over that option, but my dining partner got the seafood sampler so I figured I would give it a try. It was as bad as it looked on paper. Please stop frying scallops! I would go back in a second. I think scallops aside this is a solid supper club choice!

It's been a while since I've been to Greenwood. Was trying to find a Good Friday night fish fry and from everything I read online, best options were Greenwood and Sister Bay Bowl. Chose Greenwood. Pros - the food the kids ordered looked really good and they enjoyed it - steak and chicken parm. Adults opted to give to soup of the day a shot (clam chowder) and it was also very good. Fish fry - they provide three different choices which is nice. Three of us gave it a shot and all three were subpar. The pieces of fish themselves and breaking were nice, however was served cold/not hot. Same for all potato options. In hindsight I should've sent it back and asked for a new plate. I'd go back to Greenwood again because other dishes I've had there before have been good - filets, broiled white fish but would pass next time I'm looking for a fish fry. I have to give credit to our waitress....we had four boys with us, they had their own table and the waitress handled them perfectly.

Great food overall, the view from the restaurant windows at the back was amazing. We had the fish fry and the cheese curds both were very good. The best part about this place overall was the service. Our waiter was excellent, very personable, and made sure that we had a great experience. If you like the supper club vibe give this one a try.

My old friend The Greenwood Supper Club. There is no better restaurant than this place. They have awesome drinks, the best food around, and an atmosphere that is unmatched. I always go on Friday and get the fish fry (I recommend the perch). I have heard their prime rib is amazing but have actually never tried it due to the fact that their seafood is so great. I do have a few suggestions about this place despite the great rating, however. They are not as full as they once were and I have to feel that many reasons contribute to that. First of all, they are about 10 minutes outside of town in the woods. This is great but there is more competition in town now and with Greenwood's prices, it may not be worth it for younger families to travel outside of town for a meal they can get in town. Also, people want local food and drink selections. I found it kind of odd that they did not have any Door County Wines or Distillery products. Lastly, they employ a lot of foreign people to be their servers and such. While we had excellent service, i could see how this foreign feel may turn some people off. Unfortunately I think Greenwood needs to make a few slight changes to keep up with the times and competition. Still great food in a fantastic location though.

We came out to try Greenwood Supper Club, and we weren't dissatisfied. The bar area is a great throwback, and Lisa treated us very well. We went to the dinning room for dinner which was good. I had the prime rib which was very tender. My husband had the fried chicken, and he said he liked it. Afterwards we went back to the bar for an after dinner drink. Great people, great drinks, and friendly locals.
